Dippity Dip Dinners
Dippity Dip Dinners is a supper club in Richmond, VA presented by First Creatures and featuring Giustino Riccio’s bread.
The Story
When Giustino was a little boy, his Italian grandmother used to give him something called Dippity Dip to tide him over until dinnertime. It was a ladleful of tomato sauce in a bowl with some bread for dipping into the sauce. This simple dish, which is the focal point of each Dippity Dip Dinner, communicates love, care, and home, even to those of us that didn’t grow up with an Italian grandmother.
Events
Our first Dippity Dip Dinner took place at Second Bottle Wine in Church Hill on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Twenty friends, neighbors, and complete strangers gathered around a long table to enjoy a simple dinner of bread and sauce together.
The next Dippity Dip Dinner is on Sunday, May 18, 2025! We’ll be at Second Bottle again, and we can’t wait. Tickets are $60 and go on sale on April 24 (early access will be given to all First Creatures monthly donors on April 22!).
